Reading is my love language

I am a native of Detroit, Michigan. I am family-oriented and absolutely love spending quality time with my husband and children. 

I enjoy summer days, relaxing by the water, and traveling. Oh, and you probably guessed already, I LOVE books.

I have a graduate degree in English & Creative Writing with a concentration in fiction. I am a secondary English teacher, and an author. I am the owner & operator of DBM Collections and Discovering Beautiful Minds Bookshop.

Our book club is what Black women need; a sisterhood that bridges the gap between reading and coming together for embracing varying points of views and interesting dialogue. 

I aim to amplify Black literature in our community that will allow our youth to see stories that represent them and a bond of women who share the same love for reading. Reading is a WHOLE vibe!
